At the core of the Memorial Junior School Character education Program is the belief that teachers must instill in their students the importance of ‘Making Good Choices’. The mission statement of Memorial Junior School’s Character education Program states “The purpose of Character education is to foster courage, responsibility, confidence, and self-awareness among students and build open human relationships in a nurturing environment through structured opportunities with staff acting as mentors and child advocates.” It is a priority at Memorial Junior School for both staff and students to incorporate making good choices into their weekly Character education activities.
