 Franklin Avenue Middle School: Honorable Mention

“Together we can make a difference”. At Franklin Avenue Middle School, every student, faculty member, and parent believes in and practices that
motto. A collaborative partnership between administration, guidance
counselors, and teachers decided that they needed a character education program that increased the participation of each and every learner, especially those with special
needs. Collectively, they came up with character education pillars upon which our school is built. These pillars are: responsibility, trust, honesty, integrity, and respect. The character education lessons are infused in general education, encore, and special education classes. Franklin Avenue Middle School’s  faculty works together with students and parents to create a community of learners that make a difference, not just today, but tomorrow, and in the future.
